About us
Established in 2000, we are the first usability consultancy in Bulgaria - pioneers of usability and human-centered design in the country.
We work on software products, websites, web applications, demos, content, and services. Our core competence and expertise lie in:
- Usability evaluation and testing;
- Interaction and interface design and specification;
- Writing reader-centered texts.
We are based in Sofia, Bulgaria and offer our services worldwide. Sofia is the capital of the country and is the home of thousands of software companies and service providers.
Team
We have a small core team and a network of partners. The consultants in our core team have experience and qualifications in usability, human-computer interaction, psychology, cognitive science, technical writing, interface design. All of us are skilled in observing people who interact with other people or tools.
We have run hundreds of user testing sessions on products with various shapes and sizes coming from industries such as web services, finance, telecommunications, and e-commerce.
Irina Gerdjikova
Founding partner, usability consultant, CEO
She has extensive expertise in designing user studies, working with users, and observing and interviewing people. Her skill for pinpointing the real problems behind what people say and do has helped many companies to improve the quality of the interaction and the user interfaces of their products.
Irina studied Psychology at New Bulgarian University. As a researcher and project manager at the Laboratory of Experimental Psychology at the Cognitive Science department she run psychological experiments on memory, language, and thinking.
Rossen Lyubomirov
Founding partner, usability consultant, sales
Besides being our lead sales and marketing person, he is also an experienced test moderator and observer bringing his excellent insight into the analysis of results.
Rossen studied Psychology at New Bulgarian University. Before joining Lucrat he accumulated sales experience as regional sales manager for companies such as a Goodyear and Strauss-Elite Group.
Alexander Radev (Sasho)
Founding partner, usability consultant, IT
He is an accomplished test moderator and an experienced interaction and visual designer. He is our technical guy who makes our equipment click.
Sasho holds degrees in Experimental Psychology and Graphic and Spatial Design, both from New Bulgarian University.
Dimiter Simov (Jimmy)
Founding partner, usability consultant, international relations
He works in the fields of usability, interaction design, quality assurance, and user documentation since 1997. He is an experienced usability analyst and interaction designer.
As a trainer he delivers courses in usability, technical writing, and software testing.
Jimmy holds a BA degree in South-Eastern European Studies from the American university in Bulgaria. He has studied Cognitive Science at New Bulgarian University.
Tools and equipment
- Morae
We use TechSmit's Morae. Morae is a specialized tool for usability testing. It records the sessions with users and allows subsequent detailed analysis. We are an authorized distributor of Morae. - Remote usability
We have the necessary equipment, skills, and experience to conduct remote usability tests. - Eye tracking
Eye tracking equipment available through a partner.
